Product details
A generous floral still life from France, painted around 1890 to 1910. A dense bouquet of roses lies heavy and still on a stone ledge, rendered in deep tones with impasto brushwork, characteristic of academic painting during the Belle Époque. Signed in the lower right, the signature is difficult to read and likely "M/N. Saubagnol". The reverse bears the inscription "Salon 1910," suggesting a presentation or dating from that time. In its original wooden and stucco frame.
