Product details
A large-format oil painting with pink peonies, finely observed and calmly composed. E. Jacque signs the scene in the bottom right, a French work from the late 19th to early 20th century, close to botanical illustration. The original wood and stucco frame in black and gold has been restored and now looks complete again, without losing its patina. Slight, stabilized craquelure in the relief and a slightly darkened varnish are part of the painting's history and give it depth.
