Product details
This large porcelain figure, "Léda et le Cygne" by Letu and Mauger, depicts a classical mythological scene from Ovid's Metamorphoses, calmly staged and finely modeled. The rare execution in dark celadon and matte white is striking, a color scheme rarely found in this model, suggesting an in-house atelier experiment. Draperies, anatomy, and the swan's movement are carefully crafted. A 19th-century sculptural work that looks like a serene object on a shelf or console.
