Six La Fonda Side Chairs that epitomize the thinking of Charles and Ray Eames: an ergonomically molded shell, designed for variability and everyday use. The origin lies in the MoMA competition of 1948, the later solution in fiberglass, robust and industrially manufacturable. Here, Herman Miller Fiberglass shells in Ochre Dark meet the La Fonda base by Vitra, designed in 1961 for the New York restaurant La Fonda del Sol. A calm set with patina: good vintage condition, with signs of wear on the bases.
