Product details
The La Fonda Side Chair shows how extensively Charles and Ray Eames thought about seating. An anatomically shaped fiberglass shell, developed from experiments in the late 1940s and mass-produced from 1950 onwards, meets the 1961 La Fonda base here, designed for the New York restaurant La Fonda del Sol. The combination of the Herman Miller shell in Ochre Dark and the Vitra base appears calm, graphic, and suitable for everyday use. An honest vintage chair with patina, made for long evenings at the table.
