A set of four "Dialogo Dessau" cantilever chairs by Afra & Tobia Scarpa for B&B Italia, Italy, 1970s. Chrome-plated tubular steel supports the seat and backrest in molded black plastic – a clean, graphic line that brings a sense of calm to the dining table. The cantilevered design provides refined comfort, and the proportionate silhouette lends a light touch to the room. The chairs show signs of age: fine scratches on the plastic and a subtle patina on the chrome. Structurally excellent; one original screw has been expertly replaced with a matching one. Sold as a set of four chairs. A functionalist design with a warm, honest use of materials.
