In 2009, Stefan Diez designed the Houdini chair for e15. Having grown up in a family of carpenters, he translates traditional woodworking into a clear, contemporary language. Developed from molded oak veneer, it is inspired by techniques used in wooden gliders and aircraft construction. The seat shell is precisely folded, lightweight, and ergonomic. The construction requires no elaborate tools yet remains precise. The set offered comprises four chairs in a silk-grey lacquered finish. Understated in appearance, durable in use. Equally at home at the dining table or in a studio. In very good condition. A set with a clear, honest use of materials.
