Product details
This small white alabaster elephant is a silent object with a great deal of craftsmanship. Created in Indian handicrafts between the 1970s and 1990s, it features floral and vegetal motifs made from finely inlaid semi-precious stones such as malachite, lapis lazuli, and turquoise. The aesthetic is reminiscent of pietra dura, translated into a compact, almost architectural format. The stone appears soft and warm in the light, and the inlays provide subtle splashes of color. A decorative piece for a shelf, sideboard, or desk.
