An ashtray made of hand-carved alabaster, created in Italy in the 1960s. The form appears deliberately raw and sculptural, with a textured surface that softly refracts light. Typical of alabaster, the stone displays fine natural shadings from delicate green to warm peach tones. With its noticeable weight, the object rests calmly on a table or sideboard and functions even beyond its original use as a small still life. Patina and a small chip are present.
