Product details
This small, egg-shaped glass box looks like a find from an applied arts display case. Frosted, hand-blown glass with fine bubbles. Above it, a hand-painted enamel decoration with powdery pink blossoms, green leaves, and a brown twig. The gilded brass ring with a hinge gives the object a clear contour and harks back to its original function as a sewing necessaire. Today, the box is suitable as a jewelry box or for small treasures. Unsigned, in the Legras style, dated around 1870 to 1910.
