Product details
Large, lidded porcelain pot from a Chinese manufacture, made in the second half of the 20th century. The polychrome enamel shows hand-painted peonies, foliage, and rock motifs in the "famille rose" style. A geometric border calmly frames the shape, while blue handles provide contrast. A green Foo dog serves as a finial on the lid, holding a red orb. The red stamp "Tongzhi nian zhi" is found on the base. As an object, it appears both sculptural and functional.
