The S 43 F chair, designed by Mart Stam for Thonet and produced under license in the Czech Republic in the 1950s/60s, embodies the serene clarity of the Bauhaus movement. This cantilever chair is crafted from chrome-plated tubular steel and light brown molded plywood. Its lines are reduced, and its proportions are balanced. The chrome plating is well-preserved, though minor corrosion is visible. The wooden surfaces show more pronounced signs of wear – patinated and authentic.
