This cantilever armchair, based on Mart Stam's design, translates the clarity of Bauhaus into a warm, understated materiality. The orange-brown wood adds depth to the strict lines of the chrome-plated tubular steel frame. The characteristic cantilever construction gives the design its light, open presence. Traces of use on the wooden surfaces and armrests tell of time, without disturbing the well-maintained overall impression. An objective piece with historical proximity to the functionalism of the 1950s or 1960s.
