The Fiberglass Armchair DAR by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller is one of the quiet icons of Mid-Century design. Its ergonomically shaped seat shell emerged from the experimental spirit of the late 1940s and became an industrially manufactured classic from 1950 onwards. In black, the fiberglass shell appears calm and precise, with a slight space-age feel. The original four-leg wire base brings graphic lightness to the silhouette.
