Jasper Morrison's Thinking Man's Chair appears like a drawing in space. The starting point was an antique, elegantly curved chair without a seat, which Morrison discovered in 1985. Steel tubing and sheet metal strips quote the language of classical modernism, but break it with soft lines and an almost graphic lightness. The small trays on the armrests are reminiscent of the original name, The Drinking Man's Chair. This piece comes from the limited edition of 99 units and features a brass coating with a fine, honest patina.
