Product details

The buildings of Ticino architect Mario Botta, now found on three continents, are all characterized by a distinctive sculptural and monumental formal language. They are always based on simple geometry and, despite their massiveness, appear very compact – design characteristics that are also reflected in Botta's product designs. This is also true of the Botta 91 chair: he presented it in 1991 to mark the 700th anniversary of Switzerland. The lightweight chair, made of black lacquered metal and gray striped fabric, was produced by the Italian furniture manufacturer Alias ​​in a limited edition of only 700 pieces; each model is signed and numbered. A signed and numbered lithograph by Botta was also sold with each chair. This is included in the price.
