The Coconut Chair by George Nelson is an icon of American Mid-Century design. Designed in 1955, its shape follows a simple idea: a coconut cut into eight pieces. This creates a shell with clean lines and a playful lightness that still feels natural today. This Vitra model is upholstered in red leather and shows age-appropriate signs of wear, but is in overall good condition. A lounge chair that has presence in a room without being loud.
