A chair by William Watting, designed in the 1950s or 60s. The solid oak frame displays a calm, fine grain; the woven seat has a warm, honey-colored patina. The slightly angled backrest is comfortable to grip and provides good support, while the backward-sloping legs lend the silhouette tension and stability. A Nordic, functional design that is equally at home at the dining table or as a standalone piece against a wall. A serene presence, understated and carefully proportioned. Used for decades, still in perfect working order.
