Product details
This large-format art ceramic vase appears less like a vessel and more like an object in space. A relief band of stylized birds, divided into zones and clearly rhythmic, runs around its circumference. Over this lies a multicolored flowing glaze in turquoise, ochre, green, and warm earth tones, which accentuates the textured surface and creates a serene depth. Stylistically, the piece is reminiscent of reform ceramics from the interwar period in Vienna. Due to a crack, it is not watertight, but as a sculptural vase, it is compelling.
