A Space-Age table lighter: orange-apricot Plexiglas, set in a silver frame with an 800 hallmark. The compact sculpture adds weight and presence to the table; a circular cut-out detail provides a graphic accent. 1970s, Astrolite, with a pleasingly heavy feel. As a design object, it works equally well on its own or on a stack of books. Original condition with patina and a small chip on one corner; the flame works. The apricot tint softly catches the light and alludes to the futuristic lines of the era.
