The Segmented Table by Charles and Ray Eames was developed for Vitra in 1964. Instead of a fixed construction, it uses a modular base frame that allows for different top sizes and extensions. This idea remains contemporary to this day: a table that can be envisioned for everything from a quiet dining area to a focused meeting situation. Here, a black wooden top meets a chrome-plated base, graphical and understated in the room. The vintage table is well-preserved, with light signs of wear on the tabletop.
