George Nelson's Pedestal Table from 1954 translates architectural clarity into a home-friendly format. The round, black base appears calm and graphic, the proportions are slightly playful without ever becoming loud. Created during the era when Nelson, as design director at Herman Miller, brought modern design into everyday life, this coffee table represents a factual, American modernism. The piece is well preserved and shows age-appropriate signs of wear. Slight signs of use are visible on the glass top, which was probably added later.
