A rare dining chair by William Watting, crafted from solid oak in the 1950s or 60s. The armless chair exudes lightness: a finely woven rattan seat, slanted rear legs, and a gently curved backrest that follows the contours of the spine. The oak displays a calm, warm patina, while the rattan has a honey-colored hue. A Nordic design that combines comfort and clarity – perfect at the dining table or as a standalone piece against a wall. Thoughtfully constructed, minimalist in its lines, and robust in its use. The proportions are well-balanced, and the backrest has a pleasantly tactile feel.
