Das Sofa Orsay ist ein skulpturales Zeugnis der italienischen Designsprache der 1970er Jahre. Gae Aulenti, später bekannt für ihre Neugestaltung des Musée d'Orsay in Paris, entwarf die Serie 1976 für Knoll International. Der burgunderrote Lack, die säulenartigen Aluminiumbeine und der passende Couchtisch bilden ein stimmiges Ensemble mit klarer architektonischer Handschrift.
