Product details
A Bauhaus sofa with clean lines and clever functionality. Chrome-plated tubular steel frames a blue wooden box with a drawer on casters. A second slatted base rests on top, which can be lifted to reveal storage space for a mattress or bedding – intended as a daybed with extra space. The chrome plating is very well preserved; the wood shows a patina from use, likely from the original paint. It probably dates from the 1930s or early 1940s. A rare piece that combines functionality and comfort and fits perfectly into minimalist spaces. Calm proportions, sleeping area approximately 170 x 80 cm.
