This "Spine Back" chaise lounge by Peter Strassl was designed in Germany in 1978. Its effect is sculptural, but never loud. The lying surface, made of solid beech wood, is constructed from individual slats and acts like a rhythmic line supporting the body. Beneath it, a minimalist metal frame keeps the construction clear and light. A piece that stands between object and furniture, demonstrating Strassl's interest in structure and proportion. Very good vintage condition with minor signs of wear.
