An elegant hip flask crafted from solid sterling silver, made in Birmingham in 1927. Its graceful, tactile form is reminiscent of British designs of the 1920s. English silver hallmarks are clearly legible: a lion for sterling, an anchor for Birmingham, the date letter 1927, and the maker's mark. The original screw-top lid with its hinged mechanism closes securely; the original cork liner is still in place. The surface displays a subtle, authentic patina with fine signs of wear. A piece with substance and history. Functional, collectible, and also suitable as a quiet object on a tray or shelf.
