A handcrafted silver hip flask from Birmingham, dated 1885. Solid sterling silver, with a softly rounded silhouette typical of the late 19th century. The hinged lid closes precisely; the original natural cork seal is inside. The surface shows fine signs of wear, which speak gracefully of its use, yet the quality remains clearly collectible. Fully hallmarked with the Anchor mark, the date letter "k", and the maker's mark "LC". An object for the pocket, for the shelf, for rituals on the go. Understated, unassuming, with a quiet elegance that embraces both patina and craftsmanship. It feels good in the hand, appearing both robust and refined. A fine example of English silverwork from the Victorian era.
