A handcrafted silver hip flask from Birmingham, dated 1885. Solid sterling silver, with the softly rounded silhouette characteristic of the late 19th century. The hinged lid closes precisely, and inside is the original natural cork. The surface shows fine signs of wear that gracefully tell of its use, yet its quality clearly makes it a collectible. Fully hallmarked with Anchor, date letter "k," and Maker's Mark L.C. An object for the pocket, for the shelf, for rituals on the go. Factual, understated, with a quiet elegance that carries both patina and craftsmanship. Fits well in the hand, appearing both robust and delicate.
