This set of two S-1 armchairs by Percival Lafer demonstrates how Brazilian modernism can be both soft and precise. Designed in 1976 for Lafer MP, the model combines a Scandinavian-inspired clarity with the relaxed feel of a sling construction. Molded foam cushions rest within a rosewood frame, creating an almost floating effect. The upholstery is in very good condition, professionally deep-cleaned, and may have been reupholstered previously. A subtle patina on the wood contributes to its vintage character.
