Arne Jacobsen's 1958 Swan Chair is a lesson in organic design. Designed for the SAS Royal Hotel, the sculptural shell eschews any straight edges, appearing calm and balanced from every angle. This limited 60th-anniversary edition celebrates the original with a 23-karat gold-plated base and light, cognac-colored natural leather. The leather will develop a fine patina over time; the sheen of the base adds a warm accent. The lounge chair offered is in very good condition – a piece of Danish modernism with a quiet presence.
