The Antony Armchair showcases Jean Prouvé's keen eye for construction and everyday functionality. Designed for a student residence in Antony, near Paris, it combines a seemingly free-floating plywood seat shell with a clear, robust metal structure. Side sheet metal profiles and a stabilizing tubular strut reveal the technical logic without being obtrusive. Vitra reissued the model in 2025 as a Limited Edition. This version features a European pine plywood seat shell and a Rouge Corsaire frame. The armchair is new.
