The RAR Rocking Armchair by Charles and Ray Eames embodies the idea of industrially conceived seating comfort. Developed from the MoMA competition in 1948, the organically shaped shell later became feasible in fiberglass and polyester resin, making it suitable for everyday use. Here, a black Herman Miller shell meets a Vitra rocking base. The result is calm and precise, with the typical Eames lightness. An armchair that is understated yet shows character. Very good vintage condition.
