Product details
The Topan is one of the clearest forms in Verner Panton's work. Designed in 1959 for the Astoria Hotel and Restaurant in Trondheim, the lamp still appears remarkably precise today. The shade is formed from a single piece of aluminum, open at the bottom, and painted white on the inside. This creates a concentrated, glare-free downward light, ideal over a table or counter. In chrome, the sphere acquires a subtle Space-Age tone. Especially harmonious when several Topan lamps hang at different heights.
