Product details
A pair of candle holders in the shape of stylized roosters, signed A.G. Roger and dated 1948. Post-war ceramics with a clear Art Deco attitude: engraved feather structures, hand-gilded, plus a generously spiraled tail shape as a handle. One rooster in Bordeaux red, the other in cobalt blue, both with warm gold accents. The glaze is rich and deep, the decor precise. A pair of objects that stand between sculpture and utility, working equally well on a sideboard or a set table.
