Marcel Breuer's S32 combines modernism, formulated in 1928, with grounded craftsmanship. Viennese caning on the seat and back rests within a light wood frame, supported by precisely bent tubular steel. The cantilever chair yields without appearing soft – clear, comfortable, timeless. Thonet has been producing the design since 1930; its continuity speaks to its quality. The pieces offered are from Thonet production, and the seat caning has been renewed. The condition is good to very good, with an overall calm and well-maintained impression – convincing at the dining table as well as in a study.
