A Bauhaus cantilever chair based on Mart Stam's design, produced by Slezak. The chrome-plated tubular steel brings the typical lightness of these designs into the room – reduced, functional, with clean lines. The wooden seat and backrest surfaces have been refurbished in the past. Material has been noticeably removed from the sides of the backrest, making it appear slightly narrower today. The frame shows age-appropriate wear, overall in good, consistent vintage condition. A piece for calm interiors with an appreciation for construction and history.
