Jean Prouvé designed the Cité armchair in 1931 for a competition to furnish a student dormitory in Nancy. His idea: maximum stability with minimal material use. The result remains clear and architectural to this day, with a tranquility that organizes rooms rather than dominating them. This version is a re-edition by Tecta and brings Prouvé's constructive logic into everyday life. An armchair for concentrated sitting, reading, arriving. With visible signs of wear, which are part of the patina of a used design object.
