Philippe Starck's Juicy Salif is one of those objects that subtly connect kitchen and design history. Created in the late 1980s on Capri, sketched on a paper placemat, its silhouette resembles an octopus. This Juicy Salif Gold is the Special Anniversary Edition from 2000, celebrating Alessi's tenth anniversary. Gold-plated, numbered, and deliberately sculptural. As a citrus press, it functions precisely; as an object, it makes a small Space Age statement on the countertop.
