&Tradition Vintage Furniture and Design

&Tradition was founded in Copenhagen in 2010 and positions itself as a contemporary Danish furniture brand at the intersection of authorised re-editions of historic Scandinavian design classics and new designs by international contemporary designers.

The re-edition line comprises central pieces of Danish and Swedish modernism: Verner Panton's Flowerpot pendant and table lamps (1968) and Topan lamps, Arne Jacobsen's Mayor sofa (1939, with Flemming Lassen) and Jens Risom's iconic Risom lounge chair (1941). The contemporary line includes pieces by Space Copenhagen (Fly sofa series, In Between chair), Patricia Urquiola, Anker Bak (Coracle chair), Jaime Hayón and Studio All The Way To Paris. Materials range from solid oak and ash to marble and cast bronze to premium wool bouclé covers.

On the vintage market, &Tradition re-editions from the early 2010s are especially sought after, above all Flowerpot pendants in discontinued colour or material variants. When you examine a piece, look for the embossed or stamped "&Tradition" logo on the underside of the seat or base, the workshop label with model designation and production date and intact original surfaces without aggressive restoration.
