Product details

This bench by Jacob Müller tells the story of a time when good design had to be practical above all else. In 1945, Müller and master carpenters from eastern Switzerland founded the workers' cooperative Wohnhilfe in Zurich. The goal: solid furniture made from affordable solid wood, simply constructed and intended for everyday use. This principle is reflected in the clean seat and the four tapering legs, which can be removed thanks to the reduced construction. The piece is in beautiful vintage condition.
