The MVS Chaise by Maarten Van Severen for Vitra looks like a drawing in space. A narrow, precise line of metal supports the body and makes the chaise lounge almost float. Added to this is a brown leather cushion, which deliberately breaks with the strict minimalism and adds comfort. Designed for indoors and outdoors, the piece remains true to its idea: reduced form, clear proportions, calm presence. Vitra no longer produces this model. This example is very well preserved.
