The Kämpe wall shelf by Niels Gammelgaard is one of those IKEA designs that primarily reveal their quality in retrospect today. Designed in 1997, it brings the clear, playful design language of the late 90s to the wall. The strong red tone sets a precise accent without appearing loud. Three shelves seem to be molded from a single piece, the lines are organic and almost sculptural. When mounted flat, the silhouette remains calm and compact.
