Large, hand-glazed ceramic vase from Hungary by the Manufacture Magyar Háziipari Vállalat (MHV), created between the 1950s and 1970s. The baluster-shaped silhouette with a slightly flared neck appears calm and striking. A floral decoration in red, yellow, green, and cream is hand-painted and glazed on the almost black-brown background. A piece of folk art that, due to its dark depth and precise craftsmanship, also works well in minimalist interiors. There is a small, inconspicuous chip at the base.
