Four drinking glasses from Italy, 1970s. Made of alexandrite, also known as neodymium glass. The material reacts to light temperature: in daylight it shimmers lilac to pink, under cool light it displays violet to light blue. The cylindrical shape sits comfortably in the hand. 12 cm high, 7 cm in diameter. Clean lines without decoration. Signs of wear are possible. The set of four looks harmonious on the table. A matter-of-fact view of color as a material. Refined for everyday use, quiet on the shelf. A set with a subtle presence.
