Product details
This tureen from the K and G Lunéville manufacture features the Compiègne model in classic Terre de Fer. Blue-green transfer print on white glaze, with swans, floral friezes and rocaille ornaments. The round shape rests steadily on a foot, with two side handles and the original lid. The delicate age-related crazing is part of its charm and looks more like a patina than a flaw. A piece for laid tables, open shelves or as a quiet object in the kitchen.

- Condition: very good condition for its age; age-appropriate glaze crazing; small, non-continuous chip with hairline crack on the underside of the lid near a handle; two very small, inconspicuous chips on the inner rim; slight stains and original firing and manufacturing marks; slight patina on the base; small glaze irregularity on the upper rim
- Origin / Period: France, late 19th to early 20th century, approx. 1880 to 1900
- Special features: original lid; transfer decoration with swans, medallions and rocaille motifs; footed form with piédouche
