Product details
This stoneware demijohn, made of glazed earthenware, originates from Puisaye or central France and dates from the late 19th to early 20th century. Its oval shape and narrow, tall neck give it a clear, almost sculptural presence. The partial ash glaze shows calm nuances of beige, reddish-brown, brown, and khaki, with fine speckles and natural firing marks. As an object, it appears understated and earthy, with that quiet patina that only use and time can impart.
