This Sommerso block vase made of solid Murano glass combines powerful ruby red with warm yellow and clear glass into a dense, multi-layered body of color. The compact, geometric shape is exemplary of Italian glass design of the 1960s and 1970s and is stylistically reminiscent of works by Mandruzzato, although no confirmed attribution exists. As a standalone object, it fits into any vase collection with a Mid-Century or Space-Age orientation. A collectible individual piece with character.
