This set of four chairs by Hans Fiedler and Hans Heyder represents the functional, everyday design of the 1970s. A model that was used in public buildings of the GDR, including the Palace of the Republic. Here, chromed steel meets newly upholstered seating in a subtle olive green. Two frames have an additional crossbar between the legs, two do without. The proportions are clear, the appearance calm. Patina on the chrome is present and part of its character.
