Cabinet Type 605 by Herbert Eilenberg for Deutsche Werkstätten Hellerau: a serene design from the 1960s. Originally part of a modular wall system, here presented as a freestanding piece of furniture on slender hairpin legs. The structure is architecturally conceived: a deeper element with sliding doors at the bottom, above which is a recessed section with hinged doors. The intermediate level serves as a shelf. Elm wood with a vibrant grain adds warmth, while the metal legs lend lightness. The proportions are balanced, the fronts calmly defined. Carefully restored, with the manufacturer's mark preserved. A mid-century design that is subtly present today and possesses a timeless appeal.
