The Ptolomeo Bookshelf Tower by Bruno Rainaldi rethinks the bookshelf. Instead of surfaces and body, it displays only structure and weight. The books appear to float and become part of the design themselves. The result is a calm object with an architectural presence that works in small and spacious rooms alike. Designed for Opinion Ciatti and awarded the Compasso d’Oro in 2004, Ptolomeo remains a precise commentary on the love of reading. This particular piece is from 2003 and is in good condition.
